From hospital bed to stage
Djensur started in a place nobody associates with dancing: a hospital bed. One of us spent a year there, with more time to think than anyone would ask for. One idea kept coming back all year: dancing together with the dancer you look up to, at home, on a stage that glows.
We waited until phones were powerful enough to cut a person out of a room live, without a green screen and without a studio. When that moment came we went all in: recovering turned into building, and building turned into polishing until the stage felt right.
That is why Djensur is free to dance with. Not as a trick, but as a thank you to everyone who kept cheering, and as a nudge for everyone looking for a reason to get up tonight and move. We want to give something back, and this is how we can.
Not Just Dance, because you choose the dance and the dancer. Not TikTok, because you are in the frame yourself. The best of both.
How it works
Djensur runs on your own phone. It cuts you out of your room live, with soft film edges instead of a harsh line, and puts you next to the dancer whose choreo you want to learn. On a stage with light, depth and a floor that plays along.
Your live camera feed stays on your device. Recordings live locally and only what you share or publish goes online. That is how it is built, and how it stays.
What we refuse to trade
- Cut quality beats everything. Soft film edges are the product.
- Privacy is architecture, not a setting. Live processing stays on the device.
- The community is dance-only, with clear rules against bullying and body-shaming.
- Branding lives in the set and a short outro, never as a watermark over your moves.
Where we are
